Responsibilities

Financial Project Reporting

  • Collect, verify, and organize all receipts related to project expenses. 

  • Prepare financial reports in line with donor and organizational requirements. 

  • Ensure budget requests from staff are properly reviewed and aligned with project funding. 

  • Accurately track, reconcile, and report all project expenses. 

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and donor regulations

Budgeting & Financial Management

  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial sustainability. 

  • Provide financial forecasts to guide decision-making. 

  • Advise project teams on budget utilization and cost control measures

Compliance & Audit Preparation

  • Ensure financial transactions comply with internal policies and donor regulations. 

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing financial documentation. 

  • Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes

Logistics & Procurement

  • Oversee logistics for meetings, field visits, and other project activities. 

  • Manage relationships with service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure payments. 

  • Maintain procurement records and ensure transparent supplier selection. 

HR & Payroll Management

  • Draft employee contracts in line with labor laws and donor requirements. 

  • Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of employee contracts. 

Financial Strategy & Risk Management

  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies. 

  • Implement internal controls to safeguard project funds. 

  • Support leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, PMP) is an advantage. 

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in project administration, financial management, or grants management, preferably in international development, NGOs, or corporate project environments. 

  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and cost control mechanisms. 

  • Experience managing project budgets, ensuring financial compliance, and preparing financial reports. 

  • Knowledge of regulatory and donor compliance requirements for project funding and reporting. 

  • Experience with procurement processes, contract management, and risk assessment. 

  • Ability to analyze financial data, generate insights, and make data-driven recommendations. 

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address financial and operational challenges within project execution. 

  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and automated financial systems.
