Job Description
We are seeking a results-driven Finance Manager to oversee and optimize our financial operations, project financial management, and administrative processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of financial planning, accounting principles, and compliance requirements, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a proactive and analytical professional who can ensure operational efficiency, uphold rigorous financial controls, and deliver strategic insights to drive sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for both projects and administrative operations.
Monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations and strategic initiatives.
Track and report on financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Implement and maintain robust financial controls, processes, and compliance frameworks.
Prepare, analyze, and present financial reports, dashboards, and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to applicable financial regulations, tax laws, donor requirements, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
Lead the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts aligned with organizational goals.
Build and maintain financial models to assess business scenarios, investment opportunities, and strategic plans.
Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to support risk management and contingency planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate operational data into financial forecasts and models.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice verification, payment scheduling, and vendor relationship management.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings, audit obligations, and government reporting.
Implement anti-fraud measures, risk assessments, and internal control enhancements.
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA preferred).
A minimum of 3 years of experience in finance roles.
Proven experience in financial management, forecasting, and business modeling.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel modeling.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity in handling financial information.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
Proficiency in project management software (Asana) and financial accounting software (QuickBooks).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
