Pivot Access is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with a technical skill set and proficient in CI/CD pipeline designing, building, testing and improving. The candidate must have extensive experience with Cloud infrastructure like AWS, GCP or Azure, building private cloud using OpenStack, containerization using tools like docker, containers orchestration using tools like kubernetes, micro services deployment, modern software design principles on cloud. The ideal candidate will be a forward thinker, passionate technologist, expert in modern DevOps tools and best practices.
Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience keeping online production environments operating at peak performance on bare metal, in the cloud, and in containers with at least 3 years of that experience focused on DevOps and service-based systems engineering.
At least 5 years of experience managing production Kubernetes infrastructure with exposure to the use of cloud vendor Kubernetes solutions such as EKS, AKS, and GKE.
Extensive experience automating system tasks and infrastructure using a scripting language (Python and Bash preferred), with configuration management tools (Salt, Chef), service registry and discovery tools (Consul and Vault, etcd), infrastructure orchestration tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), and automated imaging tools (Packer)
Experience automating public cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience using and optimizing monitoring and trending systems (Prometheus, Grafana), log aggregation systems (ELK, Splunk), and their agents.
Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline architecture (Jenkins, Git, Drone) including deployments into Kubernetes environments using tools such as docker, Flux or Keel.
Familiarity with cloud applications and micro-service architectures
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
4+ years of Experience with Database technologies in SQL or NoSQL, Query optimization, Fault tolerance.
2+ years of experience with collaborative tools like JIRA
Ability to work with agile teams with a high degree of self-motivation and independence.
Broad range of technology interests across different subject areas including computer and system architecture, web applications, scalability, performance analysis, distributed systems design, and integration.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent technical background and experience.
Strong leader, educator, and coach with an excellent communicator and motivator, fluent in english.
Working Model
This is a full-time consultancy job.
You’ll have to be physically present at our offices or even serve remotely for the duration of 1 year with option of extension
