Job Description

About Us
We are building MOTARI, a clean mobility startup accelerating the shift to sustainable transport in Kigali. We manage a fleet of electric motorbikes, allowing investors to earn returns while we handle operations, maintenance, and driver management.

The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Intern to join our small team. As we are in the very early stages, your role will be dynamic. You will act as the "glue" between the office and our field supervisors.

What You’ll Do

  1. Operations Support: Work closely with field supervisors to ensure drivers are paying their daily fees on time and that motorbikes are kept in good condition.
  2. Executive Assistance: Act as the Personal Assistant to the CEO, helping with scheduling, communications, and ad-hoc tasks.
  3. Fleet Monitoring: Help monitor our digital platform to track fleet revenue, location, and bike health.
  4. Problem Solving: Jump in to help fix unexpected issues, whether it’s a delay in maintenance, coordination issue with a driver, or a quick run to the police station (yeah, sometimes it happens).

Who You Are

  • Organized: You can handle multiple tasks without losing track of details.
  • Communicator: You speak fluent Kinyarwanda and English (essential for coordinating with drivers and supervisors).
  • Tech-Savvy: You are comfortable using digital tools and dashboards to track data.
  • Flexible: You understand that in an early-stage startup, "that's not my job" doesn't exist. You are willing to learn and adapt.

Why Join Us?

  1. Get paid, obviously.
  2. Work directly with the Founder and see how a startup is built from the ground up.
  3. Be part of the green mobility revolution in Rwanda.
  4. Opportunity to grow into a permanent role as we scale our fleet.

Good luck!
