Role Purpose

To lead the brand development, product promotion, and sales support for Geely Auto in the Rwandan market. As the brand's "Chief Storyteller," the role is responsible for enhancing brand awareness and reputation.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Market Strategy & Brand Building
  • Develop and execute the annual and quarterly integrated marketing communication strategies and budget plans for Geely in Rwanda.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and consumer insights to support product positioning and strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee brand PR activities, media test drive events, and customer club initiatives to shape a premium and innovative brand image
  1. Omni-channel Marketing & Localization
  • Digital Marketing: Lead the digital marketing strategy across major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube), search engines, and local platforms. Manage online advertising campaigns and continuously optimize for ROI.
  • KOL Collaborations: Plan and execute influencer/KOL partnerships and content marketing to boost brand engagement and visibility.
  • Offline Events: Take full ownership of the planning and execution of major offline events, including new model launches, dealer conferences, and auto shows.
  • Localized Marketing: Execute marketing campaigns tailored to Rwandan holidays, consumer habits, and cultural context. Provide marketing support and sales toolkits to the dealer network.
  1. Partnership Development & Relationship Management
  • Evaluate and execute sponsorship projects (sports, cultural, business events) that align with the brand's positioning.
  • Explore cross-industry collaboration opportunities to increase brand exposure and preference among target audiences.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local media, industry organizations, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), effectively managing public sentiment
  1. Team & Budget Management
  • Lead or coordinate the local marketing team and external partners (advertising, PR, event agencies).
  • Efficiently manage and allocate the marketing budget, ensuring strict cost control and performance evaluation.

Job Requirements

  1. Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 4+ years of marketing experience; background in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory. Proficiency in French or Kinyarwanda is a significant plus.
  1. Professional Skills
  • Solid knowledge of integrated marketing communications, with proven experience in planning and executing 0-to-1 large-scale marketing campaigns.
  • Strong digital marketing capability, familiar with major global social platforms and analytical tools (e.g., Google Ads, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent PR event planning and media relations management skills.
  • Strong budget management, data analysis, and data-driven decision-making abilities.

  • Strategic & Creative Thinking: Ability to design clear marketing strategies and generate breakthrough creative ideas.
  • Excellent Execution & Project Management: Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to on-time delivery.

  • Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated potential for team leadership and excellent vendor management skills.
  • Passion for the Automotive Industry: Familiarity with automotive products and technologies; knowledge of electric vehicle trends is a plus.
