Job Summary
Our partner company is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stock Keeper / Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations, manage inventory accuracy, and coordinate logistics to support timely delivery of agricultural inputs across the country. The ideal candidate will maintain optimal stock levels, ensure proper documentation, and supervise warehouse staff while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of agricultural inputs and products
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment with proper labeling and organization systems
Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and proper handling standards for agricultural chemicals and equipment
Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track stock levels and movements with 99% accuracy
Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly physical stock counts, reconciling discrepancies with system records
Monitor product expiry dates and implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) inventory management
Identify and report damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving inventory items
Plan and optimize delivery routes for efficient distribution to clients and regional agents
Coordinate with third-party transporters and verify all shipping documentation is complete and accurate
Track shipment status in real-time and proactively resolve any delays or discrepancies
Prepare detailed weekly inventory and logistics reports for management review
Support internal and external audits by providing accurate stock data and documentation
Maintain proper filing systems for all warehouse transactions and shipping documents
Supervise and train warehouse assistants, loaders, and drivers
Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure operational efficiency
Collaborate with procurement and sales teams on inventory forecasting and planning
Implement cost-saving measures in warehouse operations and logistics
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, or related field
Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in agricultural inputs or similar industry
Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management software and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, data analysis)
Experience with barcode scanning systems and warehouse management systems
Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and proper handling of agricultural inputs
Proven ability to manage and optimize transportation routes and delivery schedules
Experience supervising warehouse staff and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda; French is a plus
Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to accuracy
Physical Requirements
Ability to be on feet for extended periods in a warehouse environment
Capable of lifting up to 20kg when necessary
Willing to travel occasionally to regional warehouses or distribution points
Work Environment
Based at Company's main warehouse facility
May require occasional weekend or evening work during peak agricultural seasons
Exposure to various agricultural inputs and products in a controlled warehouse setting
