Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Employer Engagement Officer to spearhead our efforts in securing employment opportunities for refugees across Uganda. This individual will act as the bridge between BAG Technologies, employers, and refugee communities, focusing on building strong relationships with companies, advocating for refugee inclusion in the workforce, and supporting companies in hiring and retaining refugee employees. The ideal candidate will have strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills, with a passion for social impact and inclusive employment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, target, and acquire new employers and partners across sectors.
  • Pitch and present the organization’s value proposition to companies.
  • Negotiate terms, close deals, and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain a pipeline of leads and track progress using CRM/engagement systems.

Employer Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with employers.
  • Understand employer hiring needs and match them with the organization’s talent pool.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employer inquiries and support.
  • Ensure high levels of employer satisfaction and retention.

Partnership Growth & Strategy

  • Collaborate with internal teams to design attractive employer packages.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities.
  • Contribute to developing innovative employer engagement strategies.
  • Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and industry meetings.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Track and report on key metrics (new employers onboarded, job placements, revenue generated, etc.).
  • Provide feedback to improve services and products offered to employers.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and contractual obligations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Management, Social Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in sales, business development, corporate engagement, or employer relations.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales/partnership targets.
  • Experience working with private sector companies in Uganda; established employer networks are a strong asset.
  • Understanding of refugee rights, employment policies, and labor market dynamics in Uganda is desirable.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Performance Indicators

  • Number of new employer partnerships secured.
  • Number of refugees placed into jobs through employer engagements.
  • Employer satisfaction and retention of partnerships.
  • Achievement of monthly/quarterly placement targets.
  • Contribution to BAG Technologies’ overall mission and growth.
