Application description

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical components and equipment related to battery assembly and testing. This role involves working closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes, as well as performing hands-on assembly and testing tasks and onsite installations, maintenance, and repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, components, and equipment in the battery assembly line 

  • Assemble and test batteries according to established procedures and quality standards 

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in the battery assembly and testing processes, and recommend solutions for improvement 

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement electrical design plans for battery assembly and testing 

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment related to battery assembly and testing 

  • Document all maintenance activities, assembly, and testing results, and ensure accurate record-keeping 

  • Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, and promote a culture of safety within the team 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity in battery assembly and testing processes

Qualifications

  • A1 diploma in Electrical Technology, Electronics, or a related field 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with a focus on battery assembly and testing 

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety standards related to battery manufacturing 

  • Experience with battery assembly and testing processes, including hands-on skills in soldering, crimping, and other relevant techniques 

  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and test equipment for battery testing and analysis 

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints for battery assembly and testing 

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
