Role Overview
The HR Manager (Tutor Success) will lead initiatives to recruit, develop, and support a high-performing tutor workforce. They will be responsible for ensuring that all tutors deliver exceptional learning experiences by overseeing recruitment, skill development strategies, performance management, and engagement. This role requires strategic oversight and hands-on execution to meet the company’s goals for tutor success and learner satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Skill Gap Analysis & Strategy: Lead the analysis of feedback and performance data to identify tutor training needs. Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs to address skill gaps and enhance performance.
Performance Management: Design and manage systems for tracking tutor performance metrics, providing actionable insights, and ensuring alignment with company standards.
Training Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of synchronous and asynchronous training initiatives to support tutor excellence.
Tutor Recruitment: Strategically source, screen, and select top-quality tutors, ensuring alignment with Lingawa’s mission and standards through innovative recruitment campaigns and processes.
Onboarding Excellence: Design and manage an effective onboarding process that equips tutors with the tools, guidelines, and support needed for a seamless start and sustained success.
Tutor Engagement & Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with tutors, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Act as a point of escalation for complex queries or concerns, implement feedback systems, and address disciplinary issues as needed.
Leadership in Administrative Processes: Ensure operational excellence by overseeing documentation, scheduling, and other administrative tasks related to tutor management and development.
Strategic Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on tutor performance, engagement metrics, and initiatives to improve the overall quality of tutoring experiences.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
5+ years of experience in HR, talent development, or educational leadership roles, with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills with the ability to handle complex challenges effectively.
Proficiency in technology and data management tools, including HR systems and performance tracking platforms.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
